Enclosed Crawlspace Service Testimonials
Crawlspace Waterproofing and Sealing
“ My crawlspace was red clay soil, holding moisture that seeped from my sloping back yard. My allergies were becoming more bothersome by smells of moldy, damp earth being drawn into the house. Whenever work needed to be done to the HVAC system, water heater or water pipes, men emerged from the crawlspace covered in red mud.”
Through my work about twenty five years ago, I met a young lady who impressed me greatly. Some months later, she brought to my office a young man in need of the services my company offered. The young man was an employee of a local, well-known HVAC company and the young lady was a CPA. I got to know them as hard-working, down-to-earth people…people of integrity…people I could trust. This was my introduction to Tony Blinson and Jeanna, the lady who would become his wife and partner. In our conversations, Tony eventually began talking of his desire to “go out on my own”, knowing the risks before him and the competition of large, well-funded companies. But he also had a vision of personal service, not just installations, repairs and money.
A problem developed with my home HVAC system and I, without hesitation, asked Tony for help, knowing that I could trust his information, professional opinion and work. Since that time, I have relied on Tony---and as Blinson Service Company, Inc has grown, his staff…for any and all needs concerning my HVAC. Two years ago a new system was installed and the resolution of a major air-flow problem was determined. I am enjoying a much more comfortable home and a much lower electric bill.
When I learned that Tony was expanding into, and certified in, crawlspace waterproofing and sealing, I was intrigued. My crawlspace was red clay soil, holding moisture that seeped from my sloping back yard. My allergies were becoming more bothersome due to smells of moldy, damp earth being drawn into the house. Whenever work needed to be done to the HVAC system, water heater or water pipes, men emerged from the crawlspace covered in red mud. Conferring with Tony, we agreed that my crawlspace was an excellent “candidate” to waterproof and seal.
Tony measured, calculated and presented a reasonable, detailed proposal that was within my budget. His certified crew members cleaned out debris, raked and smoothed the clay ground, treated the soil to inhibit mold spores, installed waterproofing barriers on the ground, foundation walls, piers and crawlspace door, sealed and insulated under-house vents and openings around plumbing pipes, ensured the function of French-drain system and covered it with grates, and installed a humidity sensor that is easily monitored within my home.
Prior to this work, I dreaded even opening the crawlspace door. I didn’t know what “critter” I might encounter. I was unable to see into the area except with a heavy-duty flashlight. I didn’t want to breathe that dank air. Now, I have crawled around under the house with Tony as he showed me the finished product, explained everything to me and answered my questions. I am amazed that I can now see throughout the entire area because of the light, reflective surface over the ground. The moldy odor is gone; I’m breathing healthier air inside my home. And no more mud on the men!
In all the years I’ve known and dealt with Tony, Jeanna, and their staff, no one has ever “SOLD” me anything! They have alerted me to potential problems. They have told me of new services or products. They have answered questions, provided information, given professional opinions and advice…and allowed me to make my own decisions. And when work has been scheduled, it has been completed in a professional, competent manner.
Trust cannot be bought. Integrity comes from the core of a person. In my opinion, there are no finer, sincere, trustworthy people than the Blinsons! I am proud to recommend them and their company to anyone: neighbors, friends, or family.
